Acceptance

By accessing or using MapMess, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the use of cookies and browser storage described in the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use MapMess.

Age Requirement

MapMess is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. By using MapMess, you confirm that you are at least 18.

Your Content And Rights

You are responsible for the photos you upload, the rights needed to upload them, and the visibility choices you make. Only upload photos that you own or otherwise have the right to store, share, or publish.

Your photos remain yours. By uploading content, you grant MapMess a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, resize, create previews and thumbnails, display, transmit, and share your content as needed to operate MapMess and the visibility settings you choose.

Private, Shared, And Public Photos

MapMess lets you keep photos private, share individual photos by link, or make photos public on the map. Share links may allow token-authorized access without login. Public photos are visible to anonymous visitors.

Public and shared photos, previews, thumbnails, metadata needed to display them, and related locations may be loaded without authentication. They may also be copied, saved, linked, previewed, indexed, cached, or redistributed outside MapMess control. You can change an owned public photo back to private, but MapMess cannot control copies already made by other people or third-party services.

Location Risks

Photo coordinates and visual details can reveal private homes, workplaces, schools, routines, travel patterns, private property, vehicles, license plates, or sensitive places. Do not upload or publish photos of a personal, confidential, sensitive, or critical nature if access by another person would cause you harm or serious concern.

Do not make photos public if they show you, other identifiable people, private homes, license plates, or sensitive locations unless you have the appropriate rights and consent and accept the privacy risk.

Minors

It is strictly prohibited to make public any photo that shows an identifiable or recognizable minor. Photos made public in violation of this rule may be permanently deleted, and the violating account may be blocked.

Prohibited Content And Conduct

You agree not to upload, share, publish, or use MapMess for unlawful, harmful, abusive, hateful, harassing, threatening, misleading, impersonating, defamatory, infringing, sexually exploitative, privacy-invasive, doxxing, stalking, surveillance, spam, malware, or otherwise unsafe content or conduct.

You agree not to misuse MapMess, its APIs, authentication, storage, map tiles, sharing links, reporting or safety features, rate limits, security measures, or infrastructure. You must not attempt to bypass access controls, scrape private content, overload the service, introduce malicious code, or interfere with the service for other users.

Moderation And Enforcement

MapMess may monitor, moderate, scan, hide, make private, remove, or delete any uploaded photo or related content at its sole discretion and without explaining the reason. This includes photos that appear to show identifiable people, minors, license plates, private homes, sensitive locations, or precise location information that could create a privacy or safety risk.

MapMess may limit, suspend, or block access to accounts or features for policy, safety, security, legal, operational, or product-quality reasons.

No Storage Guarantee

MapMess is not intended to be your only photo archive or secure storage system. The service does not guarantee preservation, backup, recovery, or integrity of uploaded photos or related data. Photo deletion is permanent and has no trash or recovery flow.

Service Availability

MapMess may depend on browser permissions, network availability, geolocation support, authentication providers, hosting providers, map services, image processing, analytics, and social or messaging platforms used to preview shared links. Third-party services may have their own terms and may change or fail outside MapMess control.

Features may change, be limited, suspended, or discontinued as the project develops.

Disclaimer

MapMess is provided as is and as available. MapMess does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability, accuracy of map or location data, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service will meet your needs. You use MapMess at your own risk.

Changes

MapMess may update these Terms and Conditions as the service develops. Continued use of MapMess means you accept the current version of these Terms and Conditions.
